30 Minute Thursday Challenge #8

The challenge this week was to do a layout about my favourite book and use journaling lines. While, I do love the challenge of getting a layout done in 30 minutes, once I got into this one I decided that I had to sacrifice my time limit in order to do my journaling. The story was too important for me not to write it all out. So, this one took 45 minutes to complete.
It’s my favourite because it’s really fun to read! And the layout has journaling lines. 2 out of 3 isn’t bad – right?!
Thanks for looking!

30 Minute Thursday Challenge #6

2. A wallet-sized photo (you can use more, but at least one photo of this size)
3. Your happy color!
My result...
The animal/insect stickers in the circle under the title are circa 1988. They were part of my sticker collection from grade 6. Probably not acid free but nothing a little Archival Mist can't neutralize.
I had trouble deciding on my happiest, happy colour so I settled on using all 3...purple, blue and green :)
This was my first attempt at scanning and stitching my layout using PSE. Thanks to a tutorial here. I'd welcome any tips to get it looking a bit more seamless! I couldn't figure out the eraser segment of the tutorial.

30 Minute Thursday Challenge #5

This weeks challenge was to use the following items: Orange and yellow (for the sun, duh), the letters "A" and "Z" somewhere (not necessarily together), extra credit for anyone whose photo includes a table (MESA -- get it???). I had to look up what a table had to do with Mesa but I get it now :). My kids chose to do "homework" one morning during our trip to Hawaii in September 2007.
