Trying not to be so "busy"!
This has been a thought on my mind for quite some time. I've been trying to say "No" to extracurricular activities more often and trying to make the most of time spent in the afternoons with my kids and in the evenings with my husband. I've never been one to enjoy being busy but it just seems to happen and before you know it there is something scheduled for every evening and weekend.
I was reading this blog post today and was curious to check out mnmlist.com. While I do find some of the things more extreme than interests me right now there's definitely some things that "spoke" to me. While exploring the site I liked this post about 5 Simple Steps to Declutter Your Closet. And this one about How to be less busy in a busy busy world. I'd like to explore this a little more, especially the eBook and "finding simplicity with kids".
Edited to add: There seems to be a trend in clearing closet clutter! I love this humourous recap of her closet clearing!

Blogger Design
Finding out some interesting things about Blog Design:
I find this all so fascinating and wished that Web Design and Programming were something that I looked into more while I was in school. Maybe in a few years when I have more time on my hands while the kids are in school all day - HAHAHA!!

Yep, I'm Feeling Wordy Today
I've been on a blog hiatus lately, mostly because I've felt too busy but now that I'm not working as much. I've also been feeling "why bother blogging?" Is anyone really interested in what I've found or what I have to say? But then I realized that if no one's interested then no one will read it and it's still a record for me of my train of thought and a bookmark of some of the interesting things that I've seen and done. So, I'm just feeling like sharing some of the things I've been looking at and I hope that if you're interested that you'll find this a positive place to visit!!
A couple fun websites that I've been looking at today:
Simple Scrapper
Obsessed With Scrapbooking - Cricut Expression for $199 (I dream of owning one!!)

Looking Forward To...
...BC Crop For Kids!
...Scrapping Away in Harrison!
...Book # 7 in Diana Gabaldon's series Outlander - An Echo In The Bone!
...watching Hannah Montana with my kids tonight - I really do enjoy it! Especially because it makes my 5 year old laugh at the crazy antics! Speaking of Hannah Montana, that's the Cricut Cartridge that I want next. I'd put it to some good use with my girly girl who loves HM, music, dancing and anything pink and sparkly!
...picking up my order at the border this week. My Laptop Lunch Boxes and a few things from Target (I love Target - will we ever get them in Canada??)
...working on my baby brother's wedding album! My Mom and Dad asked if I'd scrapbook some of the professional pictures for them. Since they are my Daycare and I don't pay them - love you, Mom! I agreed but asked if they'd be ok if I did it digital. After showing them a couple pages of what digital is capable of it they were sold! I love having a project to work on so I'm excited to do a few pages this weekend. And it's always fun to search for digital "freebies" that I can use!

Happy February!
I'm behind on my 365 project! But I've been enjoying paper scrapping the last couple weeks and we've all had Bronchitis so pluses and negatives! :) I hope to get some time to finish up my missed weeks this afternoon while the kids are at Grandma and Grandpa's! I've still managed to take a picture almost everyday so it won't take long to catch up. What are you working on?

Taken A Bit of A Hit!
There is so much that I want to do! I want to be happy, I want to be a good mom, I want to be successful, I want to have fun, I want to have time to myself, I want to feel safe! I don't want to have this feeling of panic and fatigue. I want to have a zest for life and energy to live it!! In 3 days over 4 weeks, I've gone from feeling like I was getting on top of it, to being near the bottom. I was already an anxious person feeling claustrophobic in my daily life as a stay at home mom. Now I feel like this "boy" who handed me a note that demanded money and said he had a gun has the upper hand. I have no control over the situation except to remove myself from the place where it happened. He did it 3 times to 3 of us. I'm know that I wasn't the only one victimized there, we all were, but since I am so completely in turmoil, I had to step away. Time and counseling, I don't know what else to give it?? Maybe I'll sleep better tonight after finally being able to get the thoughts out of my head.

Will Wonders Never Cease!!
My 4 yr old cleaned her room today! Without being asked! And it looks good! I hope it's something she'll do when she's 14!
